has participated in the SCA since the late 1990s. She began her career as a scribe in fall of 1999, producing her first SCA scroll in April of 2000. She began teaching via the creation of the Rivenstar Scriptorium about 2001 to 2004, then again via virtual and in-person classes starting in 2020.

Many but not all of Matildis's awards have been a result of her work as a scribe; however, she has also served as an officer in other capacities as well.
